Mom's Fingerless Mittens

Once I figured out the gauge for these mittens they knit up very quickly. Maybe less then an hour for each glove. The pattern is great and I really like how the increases are worked to continue the ribbed pattern throughout the thumb.

Because of the chunky yarn size I used size 8 needles and CO 22 sts (including 2 selvage stitches for seaming) and worked the rest of the pattern as written but for 22 sts instead of the required. I also moved the placement of the thumb increases to the middle because I knit them flat instead of in the round.

Pattern: SuperQuick Fingerless Mitts from Spindle and Wheel.

Yarn: Lion Brand Suede in black.
