Thanks for stopping by my knitting world!

Posted by 2ton Inspired on October 24, 2012

Thanks for stopping by my knitting world! Although it’s been awhile since I’ve blogged here, I’m still knitting up a storm and have also picked up a few new crafts. I’m now blogging with my friend and business partner at  embeshop.com/blog and would love for you to join me over there.

Same place, new look

Posted by 2ton Inspired on March 23, 2008

Just a short weekend post for the new look. I change my desktop background on a regular basis so it’s no surprise that I’ve been itching to change the theme of my blog. With so many theme options it’s not too hard to find one that I like. Maybe someday (when I’ve run through all the themes!) I’ll dust off those CSS skills and create some themes of my own.

Mr. Scarfy

Posted by 2ton Inspired on February 15, 2008

missing sign

As I was leaving class last night I saw this sign. I did a double take when I saw the “Mr. Scarfy” portion because that’s what I usually name things. I had to smile and take a photo after reading the whole sign. I thought it was sweet that this person made the signs (I found another one posted near the elevators) to search for their scarf. To me, it shows that hand made things are quite appreciated and valued. I hope Mr. Scarfy returns safely to it’s owner.

Obligitory Resolution Post

Posted by 2ton Inspired on January 1, 2008

Its been a great holiday break. With most of my family and friends out of town we had a super low key Christmas and New Years. Which, for me, translated into a lot of crafting time! I spent some QT time with my sewing machine and did some knitting and crocheting while watching Law & Order: SVU and CI marathons. I hate to be a tease but I’m super proud of some of the items I made but won’t be putting those items up for show and tell today.

I’m not a resolutions person but one of my goals for this year is to start selling some of my handcrafted items. It’ll be nice to see them go to someone who will use them. A girl can only have so many bags, scarves, hats, etc before she fills up her homes storage! Overall, I’m really just hoping to improve on my techniques for each craft throughout the year (and maybe pick up one or two more!).

To wrap up 2007 I completed the 2007 Knits gallery. (The text <– over there will take you to the gallery, the picture that will take you to Flickr, which will only show you the picture again)

To my surprise I made quite a few things, 45+ to be exact! There were a few items I forgot to take photos of before giving them. Since most didn’t go too far I will try to remember to snap a picture next time I visit their owners. Unfortunately I didn’t do enough sewing or crocheting to warrant an album, but I imagine there will be some for next year and I’ll probably throw in the ones I did over the holiday into that.

Happy Thanksgiving

Posted by 2ton Inspired on November 22, 2007

This week has been a bit off for posting, I apologize. With returning from a weekend trip and Thanksgiving I haven’t had much time for crafting which means not much to post. Although yesterday I did have some time to fix a few shirts that were too big that had been sitting in storage for a long long time.

It’s been a great year and so much to be thankful for. I’ve got good friends. Great family, new family! I got to meet my favorite band (Travis! Don’t worry the high from the concert will wear off soon and I’ll stop mentioning them in every post.) An amazing job that gives me lots of time for doing the other things I love.

The best part, it’s been snowing since I woke up. Sooo pretty! Big fluffly flakes floating all about. What a beautiful way to start the morning.

I’ll be pretty busy the rest of this weekend but will be back on Monday with regular programming.
