Sorry I don’t have a pattern for the blue dress. I sort of “winged” it. Thank you!

I am trying to knit the Little Peach poncho by Drops design (baby drops 16-1). I’m having trouble understanding where/if I start knitting in the round. I know the hood is knit back and forth on circular needles, but once that’s done, do I start at the markers? The thing that’s throwing me off is the next set of instructions that says, ” continue in stockinet the St back and forth on needle with 3 garter sts each side towards mid front. That makes it sound like straight knitting. Any info to help clarify would be much appreciated.
